Ilkay Gundogan rumors were doing the rounds at the start of the summer transfer window and they soon died after the player signed a new one-year contract extension with Dortmund. But he makes a return to the rumor mill courtesy of Sport Witness as they say that Man Utd and Barcelona are interested in his services.
Reports suggest that Juventus, Mna Utd and Barcelona are very much interested in the midfielder’s services. Man Utd’s Micheal Carrick is reaching the end of his career and Van Gaal is being sensible in wanting to replace the veteran early rather than leave it late. Ilkay Gundogan does not have any release clause in his contract and Man Utd would have to negotiate directly with Dortmund for the player. It was reported in July that a deal around 30 million has been agreed in principle for Gundogan, but the move fell through.
